Just when I think I'm getting this whole parenting thing down, I do something really stupid. Like letting a four-year-old draw with a neon purple marker.
Unsupervised.
Hey, I was only out of the room for a couple of minutes. But that's all it took for my daughter to go from clean to this:
Parenting Lesson #1: Always take away the marker BEFORE you leave the room.

I have done that too. He said, he was a tiger and needed some stripes. Thankfully he has matured a bit since then, so now I can leave him alone with a marker and not come back to a tiger :)
