Ode to the Cat

My newest photography victim - er, subject - was seated contentedly near a sunny window this afternoon.


We've owned Erma (aka "Kitty Nunu") for a little over seven years. She is as sweet as she is eccentric. She loves people, but is scared to death to go near them.

You may also recall that she pukes frequently. That's because her front teeth fell out for no apparent reason at all and she cannot properly digest her food.

Still, we keep her. Partly because she was a gift to my husband. And partly because (despite the fact that we own the world's nicest and most obedient dog) my child adores this pet most of all.


Strangely enough, considering the daily torture - er, loving - she endures at Sunshine's hands. the cat feels exactly the same way.
